Italian prune plums, halved and pitted

Orange, juice and zest

Cinnamon
2 tbsp
Butter, melted
1 cup
Cooking oats
2 tbsp
Prunes, roughly chopped
2 tbsp
Almonds (or any nut), roughly chopped
2 tbsp
Brown Sugar
Directions
Cooking Directions
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Toss plum halves in about 2 tbsp of orange juice, orange zest, and 1 tbsp of brown sugar. Spread evenly in a baking dish.
Combine oats, melted butter, prunes, nuts and remaining brown sugar. Sprinkle over plums.
Bake for about 30 to 35 minutes or until topping is golden brown.

Prunes and plums are high in phenols called neochlorogenic and chlorogenic acid. Research suggests that these phenols help protect fat in our brain and bloodstream against free radical damage.
Prunes and plums are a very good source of vitamin C and a good source of dietary fibre and vitamins A and K.
