Choose soy foods such as
soybeans (whole beans, cooked, roasted or steamed), soy beverages and tofu as
part of a healthy diet.

Soy foods have anti-cancer
properties and other health advantages such as lowering blood cholesterol which
may be an added benefit for men with prostate cancer.

Soy foods are nutritious and
high in protein, calcium (when fortified with additional calcium), fibre and
other nutrients. They can be used as a substitute for meat, poultry, fish or
dairy products. Soy isoflavone supplements vary widely in content and are not
recommended at this time.
